Image formats for headers and body

Hi all. Was wondering if anyone knows the recommended file type for images, both for headers and images that sit within body text?

Hi @tcd - i’m not aware of any specific guidelines in the design system but general best practice is to use the most suitable (smallest size, clearest visual) format based on the content of the image - photographs compress better as JPGs, illustrations with “flat” colours as PNG
